Cathal is truly a better warrior than me and it is only a matter of time before he gets the better of me. I must find some way to end this fight or accept my destiny at the hand of the Mor Rioghain.

Cathal shouts and drives his shield into my chest, catching me off guard and knocking the wind from my lungs. With a crash I hit the ground and accept my fate, but he does not strike death's blow. He merely stands above me and scowls.
"I will deal with you later." he shouts and departs for the far corner of the battle.
Struggling, I manage to get back on my feet.
"Indeed we shall finish this one day Cumhaill" I manage to utter, still winded from the blow. By then, Cathal was out of range of my voice and so he did not hear my comments, but it made me feel better none the less.
As I survey the battlefield, the Cumhaill are gathering towards the south east. There is still a multitude of them and it is my opinion that they have slain more of the Niafer than those worthless fools will ever admit to. The Morna however are not without their losses.
I manage to find my horse and remount, sounding my horn to gather the Morna. It is apparent that the battle is ending, with no clear victor as of yet. Something drastic has happened to the Cumhaill and their attention is no longer with the Morna.
I see Flidais, queen of the Niafer, gathering her forces as well and I take the opportunity to make myself clear to this woman. Shouting from across the field, I get her attention.

"Listen Niafer woman. If you and your kind ever meddle in Morna affairs with the Cumhaill again, You will have more to fear than some simple cattle raid. You are not the only one that has the favor of the high king and I promise you with an oath that my people swear by, I will have Inver Colpa for my own and Niafer heads for my trophies!"

With that, the Morna exit the battle field, content to lick their wounds and prepare for another day.........
