Hi, I'd like to introduce myself. I have just joined Ancient Worlds. One of the reasons that I joined is because I am trying to write a novel about ancient Greece and I was hoping that I might find a forum to ask questions concerning things like:

1) What kind of marble was used on the Per-Persian Acropolis if any?
2) Is there an actual site that marks the Spring of Alope that Pausanius talks about when he is describing the journey from Eleusis to Megara?
3)Is there any evidence that there were forested areas anywhere along the Megaran road from Eleusis to Megara?

Does anyone have any recommendations about where I might be able to find answers to questions like these? I have searched on line quite a bit for these and other things but am not having much luck.
