    Glad I live today rather than back when that happened! :-(

    Although in medieval England, they sort of used to do the same thing with babies. They would wrap the newborn babies to a board. They thought that their limbs would then grow straight.

    Are there any other weird and backward ways anyone else has got in the name of fashion or of cultural significance?
