Shuai Tiao seemed very surprised by the immediate restoration of his hand.
Quite impressed actually!

He also seemed just as wilful as Kadinkadina had been about my shoulder. What nuisance men can be when it comes to women, I thought to myself.

“Shall we walk over to the ladies and Kadinkadinka so we can get some help for you?” he asked.

Realising that he would not give up. I yielded to his wish and gathered the few things laying on the ground by my side, that I had used to clean his wound.

We talked as we slowly walked to the company sitting by the water. I therefore took the chance to introduce myself,

“I am Desdemona Eurimedon of Athens, but I have spent many years in Asia, travelling and learning the customs of this lands.”
“And now, apparently I am in search of the Lotus Lantern, as are you.”

As we reached the threesome by the water Shuai very politely asked Mei Xia if she would look at my shoulder.

“It is really not that bad, only the touch of a small rock as it fell” I joked.

“Of course I will…please sit!” Mei Xia pointed at the boulder where she had sat earlier as she asked me to sit. I complied .

“Perhaps you should have Mei Xia use that green powder you used on me, you never did say if you have ever used it on yourself” Shuai told me.

“Green powder?” Kadinkadinka asked.

“Well, yes it can be used on anyone and anything, even animals. It is a healing powder given to me. Comes in very handy sometimes.” I answered as I reached for my inner pocket ones again and took out the small pouch containing the powder, to place some of it in Mei Xia’s hand.

“You simply massage it into the wound. Ones you feel it heat up, it begins to work” I told her.

As the rock had hit my shoulder it had also torn a hole in my garment, so Mei Xia slowly moved the cloth aside.

“Oh, this is not just a small wound. You bleed” she told me, as she inspected my wound.

She slowly began to rung the powder onto the skin and I could feel the familiar heat of it.
Then one of the men standing behind me, most likely Kadinkadinka, uttered:

“Huh…it works!”

“What does this powder contain? I have never seen a wound heal this fast” Mei Xia whispered.

“It worked in the very same way with my hand. Very impressive!” Shuai told her.

“Yes, very impressive indeed” was Kadinkadinka’s reply.

“It is gone now, completely gone.” Mei Xia told me as she tried to place my robes back into place.

“Thank you very much for the help. I would have tried it myself, but sometimes one gets hurt in places we cannot always reach very well” I told her as I turned and smiled at her.

In that very minute Namkha called out to everyone and invited us to join him to eat.
A very good idea actually, I was sure that everyone wanted to rest and feed before we had to continue on our journey. So I asked the ones next to me:

“Shall we?” as I pointed in the direction of Namkha.
