It depends on what type of "wealth" characteristics that you want to achieve. In the Bagua, the "Abundance & Wealth" section is the farthest left hand corner from your main door. See the main graphic on the Home/Office board.
Wealth/Abundance can mean so many different things and not necessarily money. Abundance can mean a full fridge of fresh food when somone drops by unexpectantly or something else which could happen and you already have the provisions for it. So when boosting the wealth section, don't always think in terms of money.
Having said that, there are some tips which could increase your money flow:
A Jade plant either side of the front door symbolises money coming into the house. The round leaves look like coins. Never put Jade plants by the back door as money will flow out!
Are your front doors in a direct line? Can you see your back door from your front door? If so then money will run out as quickly as it comes in. Add a cure of a windchime just in front of your back door or put a screen up or a solid piece of furniture such as a bookcase to block the view of your back door from the front.
A round leaf plant in your "Wealth/Prosperity" section of your living room. Hopefully you wont let it die! Nurture it and see it grow. Your money should grow too.
Check to see whether you have an "unlucky loo". If your toilet is seperate from your bathroom, then that's ok. If it's in your bathroom, and it's the first thing that you see when you open the door then it's an unlucky loo and it will "flush away" your money. The cure: place a bagua mirror on the bathroom door to deflect energy away from the bathroom or put a screen in front of the toilet to "hide" it. If these aren't practical, a plant by the toilet or a clear quartz crystal should "cleanse" the energy. These cures also apply to an "ensuite" bathroom and try and keep the ensuite door closed as much as possible.
Do you hear dripping taps? This means money is being flushed down the drain so it's best to fix those taps straight away!
You have excellent Feng Shui if you have a spa bath or jets in your bath. The swirling motion of the water stimulates money flow.
This one has worked for me: Three Chinese coins tied up with a red ribbon in your purse. This helps to retain money in your purse/wallet. Don't be too greedy and pick the biggest coins you can find. Nor the smallest coins as you will only retain small change. It's luckier if someone gives you these coins rather than purchasing them but I have found that I always seem to have money in my purse and I bought them myself. Another set of coins can be hung on the inside doorknob of your bedroom.
A three-legged frog or toad with a coin in its mouth (avail from Oriental shops) placed near the front door facing inward as if it's just hopped into your house. If unable to place near the front door, the wealth section in your main living areas (dining/living room) are next preference. Don't place in bathroom/toilet, kitchen or bedrooms. This will reverse the money luck.
What a list!! I have many more "cures" but sometimes it's possible to over do it. Sometimes one thing will work for one person but it may not work for someone else. Find out what will work for you.
Also don't forget some simple things. Prepare a budget and say to yourself next time you see those pair of shoes..... "Do I really, absolutely, positively need them? Or do I want them? It's your choice. :-)
