Salvete et vobisque bona Iuppiter auctet ope
For the past few years I have been collecting Roman prayers from various authors. These I have been translating, not with any great skill since I haven't been studying Latin in over 35 years. You can find in the study of my domus 18 articles, sorted by authors, of part of my collection. In the next few days I will load more, and then as I continue researching more articles will be added. They are valuable in showing the range that Roman prayers took. Some are flowery poetry, others are repetitive prayers of the cultus civile, some are incantations, dedicatory inscriptions and so on. My favorite btw are the prayers of Tibillus who tends to remind of things from my childhood.
