is a book by David Morgan, titled simply "The Mongols." I was able to get a used copy from Amazon at the price of a cup of (Starbucks) coffee. It gives a wonderful overview of the culture and the incredible changes from its initial violence to its later 'assimilation' into the cultures of China and the eastern Arab cultures around the Black Sea. Fascinating!
