I think there is far too much emphasis on the similarities between Greek and Roman deities. Of course most of them stem from Indo-Aryan roots, so there naturally would be underlying similarities. And then there was documented "cross-cultural" exposure/adoption. All of which makes things very complicated and interesting! Thank you for the clarification.
