His nearness is intoxicating as always. What have we done to each other? The question causes me to smile inwardly, but it also serves as a warning.

"Yes, Culann, I do know her, but I cannot remember where I know her from. She's not someone you need to worry about. We are safe," I tell him with a wink then whisper in his ear, "I hope our date is still on for later."

Culann's broadens even more. I notice that a new customer has stopped in and move to greet her.

"Welcome to the O!," I say pleasantly.

"What's the concoction du jour?" she asks.

"We are serving up all kinds of wonderful blends, but I think I have just the thing for you to try. I hope you will enjoy it. It seems to be one of the favorites amongst our regulars."

She nods and I turn to seek Louis.

"Louis, one Cretan Cocktail for the lady here!"

"A Creten Cocktail coming right up, Mari!" he acknowledges back.
