    ~Gwen ap Nudd~

As Aileanne and I rode my anger grew less and less. I knew that I must concentrate on building my army and getting ready for a battle of all times.

Just then a soul cried out in complete torment. I quickly drew my horse to a stop and listened. This soul seemed to be a powerful and important one. I was sure it would prove to be very useful toward my benefit and without a blink I conjured a spell to stay in my human form and shot my self toward the soul that was slowly but surly heading for my arc enemy.

The closer I drew to this soul the clearer the picture became. This was a brave knight’s soul lost by the hand of a fellow knight. This soul will come with easy to my side for he will seek revenge on he who has slain him. I drew up my staff and shouted, “I Gwen ap Nudd King Of the underworld claim this soul as mine! If any should challenge then let it be know right now!” I swiftly flew toward the soul, grabbed hold of it and flung it toward the middle of the earth. I called out to the ghouls and fairies “take hold of my prisoner and keep this soul until I arrive” and with that I turned and shot back to my human form and it was as if I had not even left the spot I now sat.

Aileanna had a puzzled look on her face and I just turned and smiled as I answered “one must always be on the lookout for a soul more than willing to join an army as gruesome as mine” and with that I chuckled, speared the side of my horse and moved with haste toward Merrick who was calling us to a sacred place that was un-accessible to mortals.
