I won't admit to being able to converse fluently in Quechua, but I have run across a few words here and there that can be of use in your wasi at AW that I thought I'd post here. *grin*
Quechua Proverbs:
Ama suwa, ama llulla, ama q'ella
Do not steal, do not lie, don't be lazy
Imaynatan munanki chaynallatataq munasunki
Just as you love others, they will love you
Karun purina pisiqtaq k'oqao
A lot of work but not much to eat
Conversational pieces:
Yusulpayki - Thanks
Imamanta - You're welcome
Yanaparuwankimanchu - Can you help me?
Munaychan wasiiki - What a pretty house you have
Allillanchu? - How are you?
Haykumuy - Come in
Tiaykuy kayneqpe - Have a seat
Asuykamuy - Come closer
Huq p'unchaukama - Until another day
Kutimuy hatispaqa - Come back if you can
Tinkunanchiskama - I'll see you later, farewell
Paqarinkama - Until tomorrow
Juq ratukama - See you later
Tupananchiskama - Until next time
Kaymi wasiy - This is my house
Munaychan ch'uqllayki - Your shack is pretty (be careful when using that one LOL)
Yusulpayki - Thank you
Kikillantaqmi - Same to you
Imamanta - You're welcome
Wasi - House (needless to say)
Wasiy - My house
Wasiyki - Your house
Tianape tiyay - Take a seat
