Tyleerius stood as the frumentarius left his office. He was impressed. It seemed that this man had some of the old, Roman (some said Republican) values left in him, highly unusual for a frumentarius, the Vicarius thought. Yes, this was a man he could trust to perform his duties. He also seemed professional, which was better for his safety than for Tyleerius' but which would certainly help him receive the information he wanted. He looked forward to reading his first report.
Tyleerius sat back down at his desk and flipped through his papyrus scrolls half heartedly. He was salivating over the chance to try out the sword Shaquilat had given him. Speaking about Shaquialat, he wondered how she was doing. Maybe he'd pay her a visit later on.
