Hibernicus was born in Hibernia, and named, at first jokingly, for it by his father, the old governor of that province. However, the name stuck, and became his proper name as time went on.
Now Hibernicus finds himself the governor of the most disputed province in the Empire, on the opposite side of the world from Nova Italia - Assyria. The Parthians claim it, but the Roman own it...for how long?
