I was leafing through the internet the other day and I came across as trailer for a new King Arthur movie. It looks absolutely great! It doesn't come out until July, so that would explain why I hadn't heard of it until very recently. It is more of a historical take on Arthur, or as much as can be done in a glitzed-up Hollywood movie. It is centered after the fall of Rome, once the Anglo-Saxon invasions had become more regular and the Saxons were not forming armies. Arthur and his men are respresented by wearing Romano-British clothing. They do not have full Roman war-gear on, or as far as I could tell they didn't. They looked how the native rulers of the time would most likely have looked, still Britons but with Roman style dress incorporated. They were still Romanized Britons. They show several nice shots of Hadrian's wall, and some exccellent shots of a full defended Roman camp or coloniae. Everything look good so far, I am very excited. Check it out at KingArthurmovie.com.
