    There is a youth comes wooing me; Oh king of Kings, may he succeed!
    Would he were stretched upon my breast, with his body against my skin.

    If everything were as I wished it, never would we be far divided, though the hint is all too little since he does not see how the case is.

    It cannot be, till his ship comes home, a thing most pitiful for us both: he in the east and I in the west, so that our desires are not fulfilled again.
