In regards to selecting, don't forget the selection tools below the timeline on the bottom of your screen. If they are not there, left click the cross-hatched circle in the lower right corner. It is a toggle for the selection and time/keyframe tools. Also, the use of families and naming objects can be very helpful as your scenes become 'cluttered.' If you put the cursor near an item you wish to select and press SHIFT + Left Click a floating selection pop-up will appear allowing you to chose a variety of selection options.

Unfortunately, you cannot export your Bryce creations, with the exception of terrains and lattices. However, here are two things to consider...Practice creating items from terrains/lattices either within Bryce or from grayscale images in Photoshop or similar 2D program. Second, create individual items and save them in unique Bryce scene files, for example your bowls should be saved as GlassBowl01.br5 or similar. Then as you create a composition, you can open your glass bowl scene and copy the bowl using Ctrl-C. Close that scene and open your new composition and paste your bowls into it using Ctrl-V.

You may benefit trying a pure modeling program which can export models in .3ds, .obj, .dxf, etc and has more powerful modeling commands. Wings is free. There are other free programs as well and some like Cinema 6CE often find themselves free as part of magazine cover CD's. Just something to consider as you become more familar with Bryce.

Would you mind some tips on modeling of your bowl? Well I'll give them anyways :) A torus, possibly modified, on top of the bowl will eliminate the sharp edges. Don't want a poser figure to cut themselves. Also, do you have a flat area, with a recess on the bottom of the bowl? I've rambled on too much already. Oh, have I mentioned...
