Yes, us Ozark folk should stand together. I've tried when living elsewhere to convince the flatlanders that we hillfolk (I won't say hillbillies) have as much culture as we can afford. The school I went to was so small and poorly financed that Latin and other languages were not always taught; the school board considered it a coup if they hired an English teacher or a football coach who also knew Latin, French or Spanish. At least they had their priorities.
