Somewhere I read, and can't find the source, a writer who compared Julius Caesar to a Southern gentleman(?) JC was said to be an expert horseman too, a charmer of the ladies (no mention of the boys in this article) and something of a fop who always liked to appear meticulously dressed. Don't know if this is true, but it puts him in a different light.
