Steve Reeves was also an excellent horseman and breeder of Morgan horses. Another horseman who exhibited fine form in "Quo Vadis," in a chariot or on a horse was Robert Taylor--too bad his Nebraska accent spoiled the effect somewhat. Even Richard Burton rode correctly without stirrups in "Alexander the Great," though he looked a little uncomfortable in a blond wig.
