Vee rushed to the fence railing (rail... it rhymes with ail.. buy one!) and surveyed the groups of llamas milling about the pasture.
"They are so cunning!" she exclaimed. "Are they for sale? I haven't had a llama for ever so long... not since jojo and I flew to Peru for our 3rd honeymoon!"
She turned to the handsome Roman with all the questions.
"Buy one?" she smiled. "Well, there are LOTs of reputable dealers... it's probably better to find one close to your home because they'll be able to offer assistance and advice!"
"Ah," said Milo, "that makes sense."
"Oh, yes," Vee nodded, "and you won't be able to buy just one, you know, not if you want to have them permanently."
"What?"
"Well, you must always have llamas with a companion... they hate being alone." She placed her hand on her heart. "It's true, I swear... they pine and die!"
"Um, welll, I hadn't planned on two, but it's probably doable. Anything else I should know?"
"Well," said Vee thoughtfully, " the most important thing to remember about llamas is that they're... well... 'business-like'... they're working stiffs."
Milo looked at Vee curiously. "What do you mean?"
"A llama isn't really an affectionate pet. They're not mean or anything," she added hastily, "just a bit aloof." The dazzling Babylonian dimpled in a warm smile. "They love to work... carry things, haul things... why my Uncle Angus uses them at St. Andrews as caddies!"
"Wow... you're certainly well-informed about llamas..." Milo said admiringly.
Vee laughed. "I ought to be, I was a llama trainer before I married jojo!"
