Who am I? Look into my face
My eyes are blue, the color of sea,
The depths of ocean: this is me.
Rona Cumhaill is my name,
Sired by warrior of fame.
My mother loved the ocean water
So she called her youngest daughter
Rona, for the waves and tide
And truly this name is my pride.
The druid who attended my birth
Read the oracles with great mirth,
Fortelling I would be a bard
And life to me would not be hard.
This child of water has been blessed
Along the rivers of her quest.
Ebbs and flows have brought me here
To fellow poets and teachers dear.
In this bright company I thrive
And feel so wondrously alive
As kindred spirits 'round me glow
And Brighid's inspiration flows.
So much to share, so much to learn
Here where the fires of Imbas burn.
