We have observed traders from afar. They seem to be interested in plants and herbs. Many are looking for gold. So far the natives outnumber them. They go away once they fill the tall ships that they sail in.

We try to stay hidden. The chief says if the people here really look at us Skookums they will know we are not from around here.

They might make idols of us. Perhaps there is a reason that we were brought here.

The best thing they have is a drink called chocotal. We do not eat or drink, but the smell is wonderful!

The chief said that the traders are giving medicinal herbs to this tribe, and taking some from here back to there own place.

To me it seems that they take more than they give.
