    Is it just me, or is Gladiator the most historicaly inaccurate movie to ever win an Academy Award? Is it Bravehart, or perhaps something else? ...

    For what my two cents are worth, I posit "Braveheart" as one of the most historically inaccurate films to date. How was Isabella rehabilitated so completely? Wasn't she known as the "She Wolf" or something similarly hideous? An affair with William Wallace - puhleese! Not to mention the idea that Edward III may not have been a Plantagenet? Arguments dealing with historically inaccurate weapons and tactics aside, this version of historical events stretches the imagination. Not that the average moviegoer would know who any of these people are...
