I wander does this topic touch Odissey's love? We know from Odisseya his only son. But... Time he spended with beautiful women is excellent ground for some supposition about his OTHER children. For example Latin. Clearly! So Odissey shared with Eney great honour to be Romans ancestor. But mechanism of such myth creating is very simple. I think there is more interesting story - about Telegones. If I'm not mistaken he was son of Odissey and Circe... Regretfuly epos Telegonia was lost and we have only separated phrases from it. But there was the story of Odissey's death! This myth could be later sequel of Odisseya written by another person (not by Homer). However there are many archaic moments such as killing of father, marriage on mother, weapon and armour of Telegones etc. There is a hypothesis that epos might be so ancient as Odisseya... And maybe its author was Homer nevertheless?
I feel like learning your views and objections!
