Who can resist the look of large, doe eyes? I have been able in the past to just get past that to kill a deer for supper. This doe, however, seemed to have me caught as though light mesmerizing me from her head. Even though I was sure that it should be her following my orders, it seemed that I had no will power of my own.
With her request--was that a request? I could not be sure as I had trouble focusing on her voice. I just nodded and like a enslaved Celt headed out to find the water she asked me to retain.
Widimir located something that looked like they had been buckets at one time. Taking each in a hand he walked down to the nearby pond to fetch the water. Why did Yngvildr need so much water? Surely she was not that thirsty! Oh right, she was wanting for us to get all hot and steamy. Widimir was all for that, but could not understand did she keep inviting others to get all hot and steamy with us. We are not like the barbarous Romans with their orgies!
Surely that was not what she had in mind. Widimir you fool, he thought to himself, you are daydreaming. He should have listened to his own advise as he ended up slipping in the mud on the way back with the full buckets and succeeded in getting losing his load.
Widimir once more returned to the pond for more water. After refilling them, he made his way back up the hill to that sweat lodge. This was more work than he had signed up for, he though as he struggled, losing ½ of the water in the buckets in his effort.
After all the hauling of water that she had asked him to do, Widimir was getting worried that this was just a way for her to get him to loose weight. Did she know just how many hogs had been killed and barrels of ale he had had to consume to get his gorgeous figure?
Widimir stepped inside with one on the buckets half empty, and the other half full. He was now so hot and sweaty, there did not seem to be much need now for him to sit and sweat.
“Here is your water!” He told Yngvildr proudly.
