I was just reading some other boards, and we Tarans seem to be just as much a petition as New York, to some people. There have beens claims that Tara was not ancient enough. I was under the impression that Tara covered the Celts in general, and that "Tara" was just a convienient name that would be easily recognised as a place for "Celts." I get the distinct impression that no matter what we named ourselves, some people would believe that the people we now refer to as "Celts" were not "ancient." This seems a bit odd to me. Weren't the loosely related people we refer to generally as Celts around before Rome grew to power? Seems to me I read something to that effect somewhere a couple of times.
We seem to be disliked by a few people here. Why is that? Because the Celts never joined forces to form a nation? Does that disqualify them from being considered "ancient." Sounds like shaky reasoning to me.
Maybe its simply because the daily life of the Celts was not as well documented as some of the other peoples in ancient times? Again, I find nothing that says Celts were not an "ancient" people, and therefore have no place in AW.
Do any other Tarans have any questions or comments on this?
