Appius was wrapped in a thick wollen toga as he opened his games. His chest problems were not yet cleared, and he coughed his way to the front bench. Ianthe had turned out since they were her games, and was flocked with a string of nurse maids making sure her unborn child wasn't causing her to much grief.

Appius sat on the erected oak bench and raised his hands to the crowd. He dispensed with an opening speech, preffering to spare the crowd his coughing fits and prefering to give them what they turned out for. A fight.

    ROUND 1
    Castor vs Geminius
Castor was slow moving against the slickness of Geminius, lasting blow after blow, eventually headbutting Geminius square in the face, which brought him to his knees. Castor didn't even bother to wait for the crowd, and drove his sword through the throat of Geminius.

    Castor wins GEMINIUS DIES

    Helix vs Collossus
Collossus through his net far to early, which brought boos from the crowd. When his trident broke they cheered in happiness, but he managed to barge his way into Helix shield, sending him to the ground. With the broken end of his trident, he held it to his throat to claim victory. It was the crowds dislike of Collossus that caused them to cheer Helix to live

    Collossus wins

    Foameo vs Fralithio
Foameo and Fralthio looked comical side by side, Foaemeo being an unusuall 7 foot 3. But they were well matched in prowess as they clashed sword against sword. An untimely trip from Fralthio meant he ended up on the floow, and Foaemo claimed victory

    Foaemo wins

    Swillhede vs Az
Az had a bad run from the start, first tripping mid charge and ending up on his knees, secondly when he caught his own sword with his own net. The crowd however loved this unfortunate comedy of errors and spared his life when Swillhede inevitably claimed victory

    Swillhede wins

    Primus vs Kwantiko
Primus wirey frame ran circles around the bulkier kwantiko, running this way and that for every strike. He made the crowd laugh out loud as he offered them comical bows with every dodge. Even Appius was in a mixture of coughing and laughing fits. The fact the crowd enjoyed the fight so much, meant they spared Kwantiko his life.

    Primus wins

    Primus vs Felix
Felix knew Primus tactis straight away as the fight begin, and caught him in mid dodge and sent him crashing to the floor. He booted him in the stomach and knocked him unconcious with his sheild whilst he lay there. The crowd booed Felix for getting rid of their comic

    winner Felix

    ROUND 2
    Castor vs Collossus
Castor was forcefull right away, which took collossus off his guard. He lost his sword early on, and tried to fend of sword via shield. This only went on so long, before Castor took victory

    winner Castor

    Foameo vs Swilhede
Foameo was agressive also from the start, slicing across Foameos forehead. A last minute dodge caused it to only graze, but the flowing blood blocked Swillhedes vision, and Foameo disarmed him quickly and won the day

    winner Foameo

    Foameo vs Felix
Felix and Foameo fought for a long while together, first Foameos sword broke, but he picked up the broken piece and stabbed it into Felix calf. Felix shield broke Foameos arm, beofre he himself fell to the ground, where both men engaged in further brawls before a sudden unexpected blow to the head knocked Foameo out for the count (ooc both gladiators rolled 10!)

    Felix wins

    THE FINAL

Appius enjoyed the fact his men wee fighting for the crown, it would give his palestra yet more credit to have another victory under its belt. But he knew the men fighting were vicicious, and would not be kind to one another despite having the same master.

    Felix vs Castor
Felix was fast and furirious, and it even took Apius by suprise. Castor however bore the brunt of it, and had one arm, and then another sliced from his body. Castor fell to his knees in a mixture of shock and pain, where Castor's head was sliced from his shoulders

    Felix wins, Castor dies!

    -------------------------------------
As per my post before the games, Appiu rejects the winning coin, and gives it to the gladiator in second- FOAEMEO!
