...The Incas: A Novel by Daniel Peters. I've been reading historical novels for over 30 years. This is one of the best I've ever found.

The story takes place in the years just before and just after the coming of the Spanish. Interestingly, it tells the story from the Incan viewpoint.

Sadly this book is out of print, but if you can find it do not hesitate. Buy it immediately.
