I'm so glad that more of you have joined us in the berry patch! The more hands, the more berries to store for the coming winter.
Mistress, I have to agree with you about those snakes. Berries are delicious, but I find myself jumping back when a sudden breeze stirs the branches, always thinking I'm seeing a snake out of the corner of my eye. I'd be better off to be more afraid of our resident bear, but surely I'll be able to hear something that big coming long before it gets close enough to get me. Won't I?
Huckleberries sound good Moonbeam! I was curious why I've never tasted any of these. It seems they mostly grow on the Pacific coast, which explains that, since I live on the Atlantic side. I did find a site which has them native to West Virginia and New York. I'll have to look for them at the farmer's markets.
I wish we could have tasted your blueberry pie, Topi. Those dead camera batteries sure sound like a poor excuse for wanting to eat it all yourself. LOL!
