When the sun shines down
on the flower fields of dew
and the moon pushes back
to let the day shine a new
the flowers stand tall
ready in their glory
To whisper unheard words
that tell of their own story
The Calla lillies
in different hues
bring delicasy to the
eyesight
And the carnation tall
with all its petals
is just so bloomin brite!
The chrysanthemum across
the field requires
it's own space
it's roots are deep
and it's branches wide
and it's flowers
fill your face
The Brown-Eyed Susan
and the Dandelion
mix exquisitely
But a cyclamen here
and fresia there
will break up
the monotomy
It shouldn't come
as any surprise for
the lobelia to
make a show
It knows it's blue
to be more lovely
than any in the dell
The pretty poppy
so graceful and devine
will never look as
beautiful as the
moonflower opening
nightly on it's vine
Those White Baby Breaths
sitting near the tulips
don't have much to say
they know their job is beauty
this couldn't be a finer day
