News of the Arles "Caesar" bust. Some interesting discussions are developing
there. When I re-read the first announcements made by the French minister and
archeologists, I can't help thinking of the Egyptian Zahi Hawass saying he'd
found Hatshepsout and Nefertiti's mummies or Cleopatra's grave... It's a pity
that epigraphy can't help us unlike Egyptian artworks which are often inscribed
with the owner's name. As for the so-called resemblance to GW Bush, I think it's
the result of a bad light. I've seen other pictures of the bust and it looks
quite different.
