    Historical Thread

Here is a little shaded place to rest after your studies! We dug-out a tiny riverside votive-offering temple dedicated to Ptah, here in the city-of-the-dead in Saqqara (formerly known as many things including "Hewet ka-Ptah"). As we sailed up the Nile, we camped here and made a shelter out of the partially ruined structure.

The pyramids here predate most historic sites in Egypt! Join us in this special chapter in early Egyptian temple building history! Now its also a hotspot for Nile trips!

Come in from the hot sun and rest awhile! We left giant jars of well water for you. Also, Ipskakt has just nearly perfected a fermented fruit drink that is wow! He calls it "Ptah Ptah" (pron. "tah-tah", as in see ya)! Leave something (even just a message) for future visitors to our little shady retreat! **Food and drink menu on the way!** Woo hoo! ...

But Thanks to Anarane and Herger's cute little brother we are fine. O frigg! don't you think that baby was really ugly. It didn't look like Herger at all. I think it was a troll. Scary little thing. These Egyptians aren't as much fun as I thought they'd be. I wish I had my furs back this little linen number is kind of itchy and I can't hide all my weapons in it as well. :(
