Okay it has been awhile and to make room for a new question I shall answer this. The plant I described is the Aloe Vera. It grows like crazy in my garden in the sub tropical southern US forming new little planlets every year. It is not such a beatiful plant but if you get a burn or a cut just slice open one of its leaves and apply it to the injured area and you will be instantly comforted. : )
