While googling the subject of cats peeing oustide their litter boxes, I found Emily Yoffe's hilarious article Dirty Litter Secret: Me against the cat pee, which is also informative.

My Random has started peeing on the mat inside the front door. I've had to throw away two mats already. This morning he also peed on the mail, including a cheque. EWWW! LOL

So you see, while the article is funny, the reality is not. Random is old, though, and has diabetes, and patience is a virtue, right? *S*
