"The Sacred Tree" Song tribute to Native American Culture
I'm gonna be there, everyone lets meet underneath the sacred tree
It's told it will never die
As all the people cry
And worlds of trouble pass
This sign of life would last
Longer than our words
And our cement cities churn
The seeds of hope will rise
And touch the morning sky
I'm gonna be there, everyone lets meet underneath the sacred tree
All the power and love you could ever need
Is in the sacred tree
A shelter from the storm
A fire to keep us warm
Her sweetness dripping down
Her shadows paint the ground
She gives us so many things
And wears her age in rings
Our fate is in her bands
The destiny of man

This song reminds of the childrens book "The Giving Tree" that I loved so much as a child. May our wonderful giving planet be here for our children, and our children's children. I don't want to live in a sterile world, and future generations deserve to enjoy the wonder of nature. I want my spirit to meet my descendants under the sacred trees.
