    The lavender "hedge" in front of my place is just starting to bloom. This cluster, about five feet wide, is one of several growing nicely. Sometime in the next couple of days, I'll cut a lot of it for lavender wands, sachets, oil, etc., leaving some for the bees. Then it will bloom again in about a month or so. One of my favorite things about this time of the year!
