The RL Melaka is lovely, as long as you like bugs the size of livestock. Or flowers that smell like a rotting corpse. Actually not - just teasing, Sarawak is the place for those - even places up by Negeri Sembilan.
Melaka is currently fairly modernised being so close to KL (Kuala Lumpur), but as with the rest of a developing nation, still retains some old world ways. If you need a wicked Char Kay Teoh or curry Fish head, Melaka is a good place to look ;)
