Wrong on several counts. The Ptolemies were largely incestuous, keeping it all in the family, as it were. We have solid documentation for all of Cleopatra's ancestors back to Ptolemy I except for one. See Michael Grant's book on her. No "local" blood is attested and if there had been, Augustan propaganda would have made the most of it.
As to "middle eastern nobility," that would have been with the Seleucids, who were, wait for it...also Macedonian.
