"What, where, ummm" Odovacar mumbled as he came out of the deep sleep. He found himself propped up against the wall between Buldar and Guntberecht. His shoulder ached and it was stiff. "So you are back in the land of the living I see. We thought we would have to take you back home on a litter the way you were out of it!" said Buldar.
Odovacar looked around the inn and saw that the damage was in the last phase of being mended. Guntberecht who saw his gaze said with a smile "We all pitched in and helped mend the roof and the other damage seeing how that you were so impolite as to passout right after Buldar did all that sewing on you. We did not want them to think we were all lazy like you!"
"Well, I am very hungry and thirsty. Do you think you could get me some food and mead before I passout again" laughed odovacar. Looking around the room he saw a little man who wore a wooden cross. He remembered that last time he saw men like that. The Druid priests had them in a big wicker cage and burnt them in the forest that dark and stormy night as a sacrifice to Woden.
All of a sudden a figure bursts through the door from the kitchen all covered in white flour. He is shouting something, but Odovacar cannot make it out. He runs out the front door and disappears. "At last the food and mead is here. Now I can start to heal again" thinks Odovacar.
