Lucius knew he was a little early, but he was hungry and ready for food. He knocked on the massive iron door of the domus of Tiberius Gallus. The door entered and a slave led Lucius into the atrium. It appeared to Lucius that he was the first tribune to arrive. No matter, perhaps he could steal a few morsels of food before the other guests arrived. It would also give him a few moments to refine his thoughts about the proposal he wanted to discuss. Simple as it was, he needed the support of the other tribunes.
