Here we go again! Technically, we should have had the "Best Places" contest in early spring, but we did not want, this year, to make all our graphics and content talent insane by running this competition at the same time as "Best Homes of AncientWorlds." But Cornellia has now given me the green light to announce the Best Places in AncientWorlds 2008" competition!

Look at the header of this thread, which has been changed to reflect the current competition. In short, here are a few salient points:

Anyone can nominate an excellent 'hood between now and June 30, 2008. Awards will be announced thereafter.

All the worlds can compete for a Gold, Silver, and Bronze award. However, if (as we did last year) we get some super-special nominations, the best of them will be considered for "Special Places" awards.

Unlike last year, we are NOT putting up a contest sign-up thread, as too many people are responsible for 'hood building here and no one person should get all the credit. So put your nominations (with name and URL, please!) here and we will keep a running list of them!

And remember - where do you want to LIVE in AW? A beautiful 'hood is only part of the fun - a lived-in hood is even better. May the best worlds win!
