    Lara, unfortunately the grayed jpeg icons are a problem with the server at the datacenter. They provide the underlying facilities for our database, application code environment and the image processing routines. At somepoint about 4 years ago when they updated the operating system on all there machines, the graphics library seemed to stop supporting the reduction of jpegs, but still supported the reduction of gifs.

    I have tried to think through a solution that would allow us to upload the images to our companel server which is at a different datacenter and does not have this graphic subsystem issue. I will revisit this idea when I overhaul the image gallery.
