The first match featured Cerebrus and Superbus. Cerebrus rolled a 6, Superbus a 7, giving Superbus the slight edge in the battle. He wins, 15-13.

The second match featured Tremendus and Mercurius. Mercurius rolled an 8, Tremendus a 6, but it was not enough to overcome the innate abilities of Tremendus, who beat Mercurius to within an inch of his life, 21-14.

The third match featured the behemoth Pusillus and little Pinkus. Pusillus rolled a 3, Pinkus a 2, and the fates decided to end Pinkus today. Pinkus is killed in the combat, and Pusillus wins hands down, 21 to 13.

Superbus and Tremendus gain 1 point of ability. Pusillus gains 2. The next round's matchups are as follows:
