    (and thanks, Aulus, for that breathtaking look at soap opera Imperial Style) that really makes me grin about Rome - or wince, or both - is poor Atia. Really, the most serious historical misrepresentation in the whole mini-series to my mind, is that Atia - quiet, retiring, simple, matrona Atia, who probably never said boo to a goose in her entire noble Roman life - is portrayed as a mixture of Medea and an aging Paris Hilton and brother, do we love it! I always feel I must make an oblation to the shade of the real Atia when I'm enjoying ROME.
