Tiberius Gallus arrived back at his modest domus on the Aventine, tired from his journey but satisfied with the results. Those three men with whom he met were going to be the shakers and movers of his generation. Looking around at his cramped quarters, he resolved to join them soon on the Palantine.

Among the notes and messages awaiting him was one informing him of Brutus' election to the College of Augurs. He nodded with satisfaction. Good man, Brutus. Sorry he hadn't been present to cast a vote in his favor.
