Archaeologists have discovered an ancient firepit, c. 850 BC, on Vancouver Island which may have been used to prepare camas lily bulbs for food. Since we Long Walkers were talking about camas bulbs at the recent Potlatch in the Northwest Pacific Territories, I thought you might like to read the article.
