we are voting for ONE Celtic celebration that will be advertised site-wide, while the other three will still be celebrated, but only advertised on the Celtia Calendar. That sounds good to me, but if it is the same celebration each year, it could become boring after a few years.
I really like Bridgette's idea of rotating the four festivals over a four year period. That would give everyone a year when his/her favourite festival is the site-wide, possibly week-long celebration. We would still be able to celebrate the others over a one to three day period, providing we chose a time that will not conflict with celbrations in other worlds.
I don't see what all the fuss is about. This is just sharing - and I'm sure we were all given many lectures as we were growing up, about how important that is. I know that I have missed celebrations in other worlds because they were at the same time as one of ours. That bothers me, as I would like to be able to participate and learn about other customs. I vote for one site-wide festival, rotating among the four.
