We are being asked to pick one festival of Celtia 4 traditional celebrations that are mentioned on the Coligany calendar. Vort wrote and excellent article you can find HERE and HERE. We can as a community still celebrate those other holidays, but in a local quieter manner. The other three will not advertised on the comm panel or on a ton of message boards and will probably be only a day or so at most.

There has been an interest to return to focusing on more historical discussion, RP etc. This is not to say socializing doesn't have its place. I love all 4 of the festivals and have really enjoyed learning and helping organize Lughnasadh and Imbolc, though the ancient Celtic held those as more minor events.

I know many people might pick Sahmain it has so much potential for fun. But as long as Goldfest for the site will be near that date, unless it is attached at the end of Golfest, I do not like having to do planning for both of those at the same time.

Beltaine is amazing fun too welcoming the summer and young love. It comes at an extremely busy time in my professional life (near end of the school year, state exams, parent meetings,final exams,etc). But I think it probably is the best choice for Celtia at this time.

Beltaine will be my vote, as long as we still consider a one day event for the others which we can advertise on the Celtia Calendar, not the sitewide Calendar. The Celtia calendar was specifically designed for random one day events, hood block party, come see my new article at my hood home and have a discussion about it, or RobertBurn's B-day night,etc, etc, etc advertisement for the Celts. I know many new people on the site want to interact with like-minded people and these social events are a good way to make friends. Opposed to my way *wink* reading someones homesite, article, hood home and randomly gramming them telling them I loved your article on "Fill in the blank." ok ok Back on topic......

And if you noticed we only advertised on our announcement thread and once announcement for graphics on the AW announcement thread and the comm panel graphic for Imbolc. So we were already doing our best to keep Imbolc low-key.
