I agree with M. Fabius Furius that Rome's page has been kind of static in the last period and some links need to be checked and maybe some others added.
And I do agree with Germaniae who proposes to bring to life our Best Home Contest.
But most of all I think we could use this in a true Roman way.
I'd like to have all the active citizens in Rome give their piece of advise, discuss among them and with scribes on what they'd like to see and what can be done given the World's templates.
Also we shouldn't forget that demis are the ones who can actually edit Rome's main page. And they should be active participants in such a brain-storming: nicer ideas come out when there's participation of our artists, pragmatics and those who know what are the restraints set by the overall site template.
I, for one, would think that a good link whould be to help new citizens to set up and personalize their home via The Domus Depot Urban Builder's Guild (http://www.ancientworlds.net/aw/Places/Property/958040&alert=0)
Also I think it may be confusing for new membrs to see so long a list of featured Places and Provinces. We have a wonderful and interactive map already. Maybe we could enlarge that a bit and just add list of places in Roman Italy and let people discover the 53 provinces by clicking on the map and touring around.
This could also give more space for all the infos that now come below the provinces.
Finally, but that's my very personal opinion, I'd like to lighten up the background color a bit, while still maintaining the "porpora" shadow.
As I said, I'm not proposing changes, but just topics for discussion and brainstorming.
Finally - and for real this time - let's involve our fellow citizens and scribes and demis. I'm sure we can come up with something amazing!
Chers,
Safiria
