W e had a small yet productive ceann mor and Celtia chat Friday night in the Standing Stone. We had a few items discussed and you are welcome to read the transcript and more brainstorming is welcomed and if you want to head up something-- let us know.

Imbolc will be 3 days.. Friday Feb 1st-Sunday Feb 3rd. It will feature 2 hoods, Cill Dara and Tara- marketplace.

Some of the ideas brainstormed last night.

Mogh will head up the procession and bonfire. He is working on that-- it will be a "live" event with RP type posts. Not sure if it will start in Tara to Cill Dara or vice versa.

We will have a thread to post devotional praise, prayer to Brigid whether by plaque or verse (or both).

And a pub night at Brigid's Bruidean.

In Tara, there is talk of a crafts fair-- maybe something with brooms. (I think ToadWitch will be talking to Moss to develop this). One thought was that as you visit the various crafts folk in Tara you must "pay" for your wares with a prayer to Brigid. "Oh dear Brigid as I kneed this dough mold me into a wonderful mother and wife" OR *covering children's ears* the blacksmiths prayer "I get so hot thinking of you blessing my anvil!" or somethng like that. Hehe when you are buying your bread or visiting the blacksmith...

Fen mentioned some sort of writing thing-- maybe more cooperative instead of the bardic contests of the past...

I will be heading up an event involving Cailleach the hag goddess where some of our sidhe children will steal her firewood (so she cannot make it winter longer) and offer up to you citizens the planks of wood for an UGLEE PLAK EVNT.(Ugly Plaque Event) *g* and we will "burn" them up at the end allowing Bright Brigid to bring the spring. Probably it will involve an article, some RP in the thread and then plaque from you cives and patrons.

I am planning on creating the festival guide too so no matter where events happen participants can find it. These are my 2 projects I am heading up but I can help if people need other hands. Here and there.

So...... Please if you have ideas, please post what you want to head up ASAP. and we will all help each other develop them in time. I will be getting the festival guide up and going soon as as you ready your threads, quizzes--(we dont have one yet), articles, events ready let me know or post here.
